Sewing Machinist - garments

My client is looking for an experienced garment sewer to join the creative, friendly and fun team.

Business hours are 9am-5pm Monday – Thursday and 9am – 4.30pm on Fridays.

The role will involve:

• using industrial sewing machines
• using an overlocker
• hand sewing
• following instructions and showing initiative
• understanding garment patterns and their construction
• working with a wide variety of fabrics including stretch lycra, fur fabrics, vinyl, as well as working with polyurethane foam among others
• being a team player and understanding when project priorities may change. Some days are busier than others when deadlines need to be met
